🐟 Smart Breed Vendor
User Guide
A simple, automated vendor for selling your breedable fish.
The Smart Breed Vendor automatically counts your available stock, displays your fish information, handles payments, and delivers one fish per successful purchase.
🚀 QUICK START
1. Rez the Vendor
Place the Smart Breed Vendor where you want customers to purchase your fish.
2. Grant Debit Permission
When prompted by Second Life, grant the vendor Debit permission. This is required for sales and automatic refunds.
3. Add Your Fish
Drop the fish you want to sell into the vendor's Contents.
4. Open Owner Setup
Click the vendor and choose OWNER SETUP.
5. Enter Your Information
Set your:
Species
Breed
Sex
Price
6. You're Ready to Sell!
The vendor automatically counts the fish in its inventory and updates the displayed quantity.
📦 STOCK MANAGEMENT
Every object inside the vendor counts as one unit of stock.
For example:
5 fish in Contents = QTY 5
20 fish in Contents = QTY 20
When a fish is purchased, it is delivered to the customer and the available quantity automatically updates.
⚙️ OWNER SETUP
Click the vendor and select OWNER SETUP to access the configuration menu.
SET SPECIES
Enter the species of fish being sold.
Example: Arowana
SET BREED
Enter the breed.
Example: Red Arowana
SET SEX
Choose:
♀ Female
♂ Male
The sex display automatically changes color to make it easy to identify.
SET PRICE
Enter your selling price as a whole number.
Example: 250
The minimum price is L$1.
🛒 HOW CUSTOMERS BUY
Customers can click the vendor to view the product information.
To purchase:
Right-click the vendor → Pay → Pay the displayed price
The vendor delivers one inventory object per successful payment.
Once the sale is complete, the vendor automatically updates its stock count.
📊 CUSTOMER DISPLAY
The vendor displays:
SPECIES
What type of fish is being sold.
BREED
The fish's breed.
SEX
Male or Female.
QTY
The number of objects currently inside the vendor.
PRICE
The current selling price.
When no stock remains, the vendor displays QTY: 0 — SOLD OUT.
📋 VIEW STOCK
Owners can select VIEW STOCK to see:
Total number of objects in the vendor
The name of each inventory object
This is useful for checking exactly which fish are currently loaded for sale.
👁️ FLOATING TEXT
The vendor can display additional information above itself.
TEXT ON
Displays species, breed, sex, quantity, and price.
TEXT OFF
Removes the floating text.
The main vendor display continues to work when floating text is disabled.
🔄 REFRESH
The vendor normally updates automatically whenever inventory changes.
If you need to manually update it, choose REFRESH from the Owner Setup menu.
This immediately recounts the inventory and refreshes the displays.
💰 PAYMENTS & REFUNDS
The vendor checks every payment before completing a sale.
If a customer:
Pays the wrong amount
Attempts to purchase when sold out
Tries to purchase before a price is set
Attempts to purchase while the vendor isn't ready
the transaction is rejected.
When Debit permission is available, the vendor automatically refunds the payment.
🧹 RESET DATA
Need to completely reconfigure the vendor?
Choose RESET DATA.
This clears the saved:
Species • Breed • Sex • Price • Floating Text Setting
Your inventory is not deleted when you reset the vendor.

ADD FISH → Drop fish into Contents
SETUP → Click → OWNER SETUP
SPECIES → Enter species
BREED → Enter breed
SEX → Select Male or Female
PRICE → Enter price
STOCK → Automatically counted
SALE → Customer pays → One object delivered
REFRESH → Manually update vendor
VIEW STOCK → See inventory
TEXT ON/OFF → Toggle floating text
RESET DATA → Clear vendor settings
