The Smart Bonus Crate is designed for Second Life fishing areas using XS Fishing Rods. Instead of automatically handing out random gifts, the system lets each fisher choose whether they want to participate.

No unwanted gifts. No inventory spam. Just bonus prizes for fishers who opt in.

How It Works

The Smart Bonus Crate automatically detects fishers using an XS Fishing Rod in your region.

When a fisher is detected, they'll receive a simple YES / NO prompt:

YES — Opt In
The fisher becomes eligible for random bonus prizes.

NO — Opt Out
The fisher can continue fishing without receiving prizes.

When the prize timer runs, the crate randomly selects one eligible fisher and awards them one random prize from the crate.

Important: Fishers must continue wearing their XS Fishing Rod to remain eligible.

Quick Setup

Getting started is easy:

1. Rez the Smart Bonus Crate
Place it on your land.

2. Add Your Prizes
Edit the crate and open the Contents tab. Add the items you want to give away.

3. Keep the System Scripts
Do not remove the two included Smart Bonus Crate scripts.

4. Turn It On
Click the crate and select Turn ON from the Owner Menu.

5. Set Your Prize Time
Choose how frequently the crate should run a random drawing.

Only place prize items and the included system scripts inside the crate.

Owner Controls

Turn ON / Turn OFF

Enables or disables the Smart Bonus Crate.

Prize Time

Choose how frequently a random prize is awarded:

30 seconds
1 minute
1–2 minutes
2–5 minutes
5–10 minutes
10–20 minutes

Force Draw

Immediately runs a prize drawing when eligible fishers are available.

Status

View current system information, including:

Loaded prizes
Detected fishers
Opted-in players
Eligible players
Admins
Excluded players
Current prize timing

Eligible

Displays the players currently eligible to receive prizes.

Admins

Add or remove people who are allowed to operate the crate.

Exclude

Add people to the No-Prize List.

Admins & No-Prize List

The owner is automatically excluded from prize drawings.

Anyone added as an Admin is also automatically excluded from receiving prizes. Admins can operate the crate and manage its settings.

Use the Exclude option for anyone else who should never be selected for a bonus prize.

When a Fisher Leaves

A fisher's YES / NO choice applies only to their current visit.

Once they leave the region, their session is cleared.

When they return with their XS Fishing Rod, they'll have the opportunity to opt in again.

This gives your visitors control over bonus gifts while helping keep unwanted items out of their inventories.
